What is Amantolli Studio?

Amantolli Studio was born as a creative space to work with the hands, strengthening will and individuality. Everything we create with our hands carries the power to build inner health.

Today it is also a therapeutic space, where through art therapy and group artistic encounters we cultivate salutogenesis: the human capacity to generate health, well-being, and resilience from within.

Amantolli is a Nahuatl word meaning artisan and also that which is made by hand. I chose this name because it brings together my roots and my path: creating, being present, and healing through art.

Since its origin in 2014, Amantolli Studio has been a space to create with intention—a place where making becomes a form of active meditation and self-encounter. The full name, Amantolli Studio · Salutogenic Arts, expresses the union between crafting and healing.

The term salutogenic comes from salus (health) and genesis (origin), referring to the human capacity to generate health from within.

At the studio, art is lived as a salutogenic practice: cooking, modeling, weaving, painting, and drawing awaken the senses, strengthen the will, and nurture well-being.

Here, every gesture of the hands is also a gesture of the soul—an invitation to create, to heal, and to reconnect with life.

Mission & Purpose

My mission is to be a bridge:

  • that helps people connect with themselves,

  • that reminds them of their source of healing,

  • that links them with the spiritual world and with other living beings.

In every artistic encounter I seek to foster well-being, connection, and re-encounter.

Art can accompany everyone—children, youth, adults, and elders—whether or not they face medical diagnoses, because we can always cultivate health and strengthen our being: the mind, the emotions, the physical body, and above all, the will.

Values & Approach

Amantolli Studio is a space that is:

  • safe,

  • warm,

  • authentic,

  • built on trust.

My approach is one of service to humanity, with the certainty that every artistic encounter can be the seed of a great transformation.

Silvia Lissett

FOUNDER

I am Silvia Lissett, living in New Hampshire for the past three years. My life journey has been shaped by culinary creation, art, pedagogy, and the search for human well-being.

I began teaching in 2005 and now have nearly 20 years of experience as an educator in Waldorf pedagogy and as a teacher of handcrafts and Spanish. I am an art therapist certified by the Medical Section of the Goetheanum and accredited by I.A.R.T.E. (International Anthroposophic Art Therapists Association).

I have lived in diverse landscapes that have enriched my perspective: the vast Mexico City, where I spent my first 28 years; Cuernavaca, the city of eternal spring, where I encountered Waldorf pedagogy and began my path as a teacher; the mountains of Colorado; the sea of Florida; and now the forests of New Hampshire, where my heart feels at home.

I am a member of the Anthroposophical Society in North America and the School of Spiritual Science. I hold a deep commitment to creating spaces of well-being for people of all ages—children, youth, adults, and elders—and to accompanying them in life processes such as grief, anxiety, depression, and other challenges.

I have worked in classrooms, created workshops for parents and teachers, programs for elders, initiatives for children in homeschool and afterschool settings, as well as individual sessions. I have also shared talks and lectures in educational and health communities. What inspires me most is building community and strengthening bonds through art, with warmth and presence.
